Programmes free to a good home
at 16:35 26 Jan 2022

Couple of boxes of assorted programmes from the last 30/40 years mainly QPR official, a few KUTR's, a few aways and a few England programmes.

PM me to arrange collection form Pinner if interested.

I'm moving house and it's too heart breaking to cold heartedly throw out memories of so much disappointment and heartbreak (and the odd magnificent win that fed the addiction).

Lovely tight stadium. Having the fans that close to the pitch is really adding to the atmosphere.

Gramofon is the one Spotify seemed to recommend. Had one for years connected to an old Bose system. Bit fussy setting up sometimes but does exactly what you want.

Luton lost their manager .......shame

New stadium just been reccommended for approval. Capacity up to 23,000. One little chemical toilet. Doesn't say if it will be static or have wheels.

Executor of a will
at 10:30 23 Nov 2017

She's still alive and got her marbles so it's none of anyone's business but her own what she does and who she chooses to help her with things. Her neighbours can't sell her flat for her unless she has given them power of attorney.

The executor is irrelevant until the aunt croaks.

I'm a bit upset at Wise being quite likeable and still looking frighteningly fit.

Amir Khan is just an open book. Doesn't seem to have any side to him which is good. Just stuck a few quid on him each way. I always win on TV rubbish. Always lose on football rubbish.

Bolox. Consider the deal undone. The person I thought wanted them has made other arrangements.

Someone else's to grab, then.

I'm gutted they sacked him. It would have got funnier and funnier as the season went on. By March (if his knees had held out) I think I may have died from laughter exhaustion.

Have I missed his Forever R's induction? I'm sure they must have asked but maybe he prefers to stay in Spain!

P.O.S so far.

Pointless thread because anyone who doesn't say Scowen is just making another point.

Calling him a little rat (I know it's affectionate) is massively under playing everything else about his game. For me he is head and shoulders above the rest. Dare I mention him in the same breath as Paul Scholes? I may even replace my Clint Hill avatar with him if this form lasts until Christmas.

Going back to my first sentence, I vote Bidwell. He plays consistently well week in week out despite the audible sighs if a cross isn't met or a pass goes slightly awry.

Any memories of 1983 promotion?
at 09:55 28 Sep 2017

I was a steward that season and watched the entire magnificent season sitting on the pitch in front of the away end. It was every bit as good as it sounds. It was the days when stewards just directed people on the way in and then watched the match because there were loads of police in the ground to do the proper work.

The last few matches had a (fairly) peaceful pitch invasion from home fans at the end. The police horses waited in the corner between the school end and the ellerslie stand and came straight on at the final whistle to block the path to the school end. The omniturf could handle it without a problem. The piles of manure were no use for making it grow, though, so the groundsmen still moaned.

It was the only time that I remember feeling that every home game was a guaranteed win and we could just relax and enjoy the quality of the play. No wonder Barcelona came for our manager.

BRING BACK OMNITURF (and don't let any other feckers have it.)

Mmmmm sexy. Most newly divorced men spend time I the gym and dieting. Multi millionaires nurture their moobs, apparently, safe in the knowledge that gorgeous women will be attracted to their other assets.

Listen to them moaning about tricky qualifying. Try being in Europe you whinging tarts.

If Syria make it in 4 years time they can send ISIS to pick up some cash to fund the war a bit longer or even start a fresh one while they're in Qatar.
