The long road from Austin to Washington — Signing
at 09:00:50

Anybody else here confused on the fee? The club keep quoting 2.5m. Yet then I hear Newport are receiving about 1m, from multiple sources. Did Newport really have a 40% sell-on clause on this lad??! On a BBC article pointed out by QPR85, it says the sell-on clause is 20%, which would put the fee at nearer 5m. Anybody got any insight on this?

Runners and riders in the annual new QPR manager race - Column
at 11:48:26

I like the cut of your jib northern sir. It is a circus so it is ripe for comedy. Your Pearson cons made me laugh out yet I guess all you had to do there was repeat the facts! Anyway, my choice would be Warburton. I've no idea why, so maybe that fits right in with Tony's way of thinking. One thing Clive, as I recall you used to be a fan of Karl Robinson - what changed there?

An odd turn of events - Transfer deadline
at 11:04:16

Good stuff there Clive - you started off very well with a good common sense 5 paragraphs of text before the first picture. Consolidation next, you gradually brought this down to 4 paras before pics and then 3 as the eyes of the illiterati began to wobble, again more common sense game management. But then near the final whistle you blew it out to 9 paragraphs of a vigorous chicken roosting rant of epic proportions, prior to serving up the twitter eye candy. A gamble I'm sure, like chucking JET, Mackie, and Fer on at the death whilst keeping Luongo, Chery and Phillips on the pitch. I think it worked out well. Ramsey take note.

QPR continue to buck recent trend with Mutch capture
at 09:43:19

I'm thinking this is good but mainly because everyone else thinks so and he scored a few goals last season.I get the young, hungry, great attitude bit. But what I really want to know is what kind of player is he? Where does he fit into the midfield?

A way to win - report
at 03:23:45

Fantastic Clive, expected nothing less. It was emotional to read about our suffering and you have dealt appropriately and fairly with the notion of QPR being the anti-christ of football for all the non-thinking sheeple out there. I'm surprised you didn't also mention that not long ago hired thugs produced guns in our boardroom to force a director to resign. Yes, we feckin deserved everything on saturday.

Window shopping done, QPR must now defy critics and odds — full match preview
at 19:43:39

Good points well made. I also would love a bit of success for Fernandes too - amazing backing and he deserves his day in the sun. Sadly i also agree with the prediction, we love to feck it up when the opportunity is there for the taking.

Hung by his own players, Hughes now in untenable position — full match report
at 23:20:26

Great stuff Clive and well done for not descending into bitterness which frankly is all I've been able to muster toward Hughes since the debacle which isn't my normal me, though nor is total dejection/depression over the course of a weekend either. Very glad I'm not in TFs shoes on this one, what the solution is I'm really not sure.

The many conflicting personalities of big Georges Santos — history
at 21:38:08

We went from George to Fitz Hall. There's a genetical/wiring connection there to be sure. Think it's a type of DNA that is delusional (is Paladini the connection there?). Anyway, both clumsy, prone to major lapses, think they're ball playing centre halves when really they're better suited to club bouncing and fathering lots of children. Got to say though, George always brought top comedy value to a dull, wintry game.

Chelsea arrive with new Hazard to target QPR weaknesses — opposition profile
at 23:58:56

Ah good point that. It is a profile. But don't drop the predictions eh? It's great entertainment seeing you, metaphorically, squirm, riding the fuzzy lines between the tempting of fate, realism and hopium. Keep 'em going I say...

What might have been… QPR bid farewell to the White Pele
at 01:10:44

Totally agree he was at his best as an advanced central midfielder. But without doubt those 2 injuries screwed him. Yes we had managers more inept than general custer who failed to play him correctly. But also, those injuries robbed him of pace. It was clear to see to all of us watching - without that extra yard of sharpness he was just not the same player. Sad and frustrating. I wish him all the best as he will no doubt continue to be a good championship footballer.

Seven lessons to help QPR avoid a return to the turkey farm

If we're looking to build on staying in the league and progressing then I wouldn't expect too many Howsons or Pilkingtons et al for next season. They're fine if you're coming up from the Championship and as Naarwich and Swansea have shown, can work out very well. I would expect us to follow the geordie model and look abroad which incidentally is where the value lies in top talent, as Stewart Downing will testify. If Diakite is anything to go by, then I'm mightily encouraged that Hughes and co have a decent overseas scouting network. I am very excited at the prospect of surprising and quality additions like Samba.

QPR cling on to top flight status after amazing day of reckoning — report
at 09:07:45

yep more head enlarging fare from me clive. you've had a rather good season. unlike the team you report on, champions league standard. hopefully it'll all catch up to you over time. i crowed with joy reading the description of mackie's goal. yes, time really did stand still for a moment. i know i time travelled onto someone's back before the ball hit the net. such high standards are difficult to live up to consistently, but i know you will do continue to hit the heights. you. Welcome to fortress Loftus Road, surrender your reputation at the door — guest column
at 19:53:12

I think you're right Chris and he may well play Buzsacky. But I'd like to give Chelsea a go post their Barcelona hangover and not be as docile as we've been away in our last few games. Everyone is saying how great we've been with one up front recently but, until each sending off occurred, I thought we looked very dangerous with Zamora and Cisse up front in the previous games. And Traore on the left isn't a bad shout either.

Foster wins Zamora duel as Dorrans downs QPR - full match report
at 15:03:21

Without a point here, which seems to be the best we could have scraped from this, we're now looking for a sublime Arsenal performance and for Bolton to implode. Both possible. I'm more concerned by Spurs getting thrashed. We don't want them rebounding with a stellar performance next week.
