Saints At Peterborough The Preview

I agree with Guly on the right instead of Chaplow. As much as I admire his passion and vigour, he was like a loose canon against Reading and not particularly productive.
Now is not the time to get on Guly's back. He and the rest of the team need our full support.
In Nigel we trust.
Massive game tonight and anything less than 3 points would leave me with a bit of a bum twitch for the remaining 2 games....

Time For Cups To Be Taken Seriously
at 11:46:28

Good article!

As long as the minndblowing money is available in the PL to players and clubs it will always favour the league cups.
Rather than award the £90 odd million bounty for promoted clubs to the PL, why not at least half that and pass the balance to the Championship and lower leagues to share the spoils when they are promoted?
The magic seems to have disappeared from the league cups. I remember FA cup final days back in the 70's & 80's where it was such a big deal to be going to Wembley for club and fans. The build up on telly was all part of the big day.
Now the semi's are played at Wembley which takes the edge off the final itself.

Arab type club owners are in it for one thing only and that sure isn't pride and status of getting to Wembley with a bunch of happy fans in tow!

Saints At Plymouth The Verdict
at 13:56:56

We do seem to have found a new burst of confidence and the team have played like they REALLY wanted automatic promotion. Hard work = rewards and it's paid off.
The fact we are not mathematically up makes Saturday even more of a fun day out.
Looking forward to it will be a perfect day to close the season. Let's make sure we go out of L1 with a goal-fest.

Saints V Colchester The Preview

Puncheon is not performing. He was dire at Swindon.
I agree that Bart should be given a chance as I've got mixed feelings about Davies. Yes he proves to be a good solid shot stopper but the inability to come off his line makes us nervous in the box.
Connolly just seems frustrated all the time and Lambert isn't being fed enough. It's a simple equation - get the crosses in and we have half a chance.
We are definitely missing the flair and creativity of Lallana. I'm not convinced Barnard will make a big impact but hope I'm proved wrong.

Hopefully if Adkins can get a bit of motivation back in the team we can play with the confidence we showed in the latter part of last season.
We cannot allow ourselves to slip any further behind. This is a MUST WIN game.

Are Downloadable Matchday Programmes The Future ?
at 14:35:34

I don't think the plan would be to replace the existing programme as you are right to say, this would affect those of us who collect and like to have something to read on the day.
However, I think it's a great idea for the distant (eg overseas) fans who cannot otherwise lay their hands on a match day programme.
One thing though, is the elusive Southend programme from last season now devoid of the alleged print that caused its hasty retreat from sale? Just curious?
