warnocks team were great at blocking shots and crosses rushing at and throwing themselves in front of the player shooting or crossing,and we kept a few clean sheets that season, i was reminded of this on saturday when it is exactly what we didnt do especially for their second |

wasn't best's against england and gordon banks. On sat i think phillips headed off of the goalies hand. for the green on the lino had his flag up but i dont think he really saw it just reacted to green, you are not allowed to impede the keeper as he goes to kick the ball i thought |

Helgusons goal at palace, the ball had been aimlessly lobbed into the corner, everyone stood around watching except for one Jamie Mackie who chased it down, got possession the ball was worked across the pitch and then sent in to the box for the goal. That's what he brings to the team an enthusiasm to take the game to the opposition something we sadly lack at the moment. He and Vargas would cause many defences problems as they would not get a minutes peace. |

Mine was the 5 0 Everton game as well. Also at the West Ham 6 1 , remember loads of them in loft but most went home early, don't recall much trouble. |
