And yet he’s ten times better than against Stoke. Not saying much but still.

Team for Cardiff

Yep. He really helps to get us up the pitch plus acts as an auxiliary CD in the box when we're defending. We've had huge problems getting out of defence and too much distance between DM and attacking midfield, hence why Morgan hasn't played so well recently in my view. He is someone who links play and plays off people rather than dominating and carrying tthe ball forward.

No Frey to hold the ball up/hassle defenders doesn't help. Hope he's back.

This guy seemingly has the motivation and drive to succeed. Hopefully he also has the raw talent.

Injury hit, on the beach and checked out, QPR soundly beaten – Report

Can't argue with any of that, sums it up brilliantly. Except Andersen was even worse than you painted him, from my memory. I agree with the poster who likened him to SWP's efforts 'supporting' Furlong against Bolasie. Disgraceful. This guy's played Champions League football. He's played for Ajax. He's played for Denmark. But I could have looked more arsed playing on Saturday than he did. Of course it might just be that I was focusing on him like you were, Clive, on Madsen.

Probably best to squint out of the corner of our eyes at this lot at the moment.

Most of them aren't worthy of your brilliant prose.

This season......your thoughts.

I think it's fair to say we had a very poor start and made a mistake trying to integrate too many players without Championship experience. However I think the current results are way more understandable.

I think most teams would struggle not being able to start even their fourth choice forward; their third choice CD, their main playmaker; their most experienced DM (I don't think Colback has the legs for it and is better higher up the pitch), one of their most creative and hardworking players on suspension.

Point being we can't judge our team as most of them aren't playing.

Criminal that ball-watching after Nardi's initial save.

Pathetic strolling around from Andersen. Please take him off at half time. Zero press from us. Colback also can't cover enough ground.

Yeah, agree it's a key issue who our replacements are.

Love that article Dorse. Laugh out loud moments. Agree the mood at matches has been surprisingly positive given our performance on the pitch at times. Loving all the younger fans coming in.

We need a much better organised pre-season, resolving whatever is going wrong with players' conditioning and for all that's holy not to have another disastrous start to next season.

I went to that match, and the AFC Wimbledon one which was nearly as bad.

I think I deserve a decent performance like Leeds at home.

I think injuries killed us. No Chair early doors when we really could've done with his experience while blending in a number of new players. Huge chunks without Morrison, Cook, JCS. Losing both DMs at the same time. Colback out most of the season. No Dembele at the same time as Chair out. Frey out for a while. Celar out just as he was coming good. Kolli out, Lloyd also out after struggling with a groin strain. Our back up for Paal in January turns out to have an injury.

I know it's normal to get injuries but when your back up also gets injured you're going to struggle.

Positives: we showed fight when things were starting to look hopeless; we're looking to the future and blooding young players like Morgan and Kolli is exciting. Varane looks like an excellent player. We kept Marti.

Negatives: We very nearly left ourselves too much to do; the players we spent money on, Madsen and Celar have struggled to adapt to the Championship.

If we can have a more balanced squad next season, have more luck with injuries and start like a train rather than an old three wheeler next season could be interestiing.

Yeah we all groaned when Foden came on as he generally hogs the ball and slows down play.

Agree with Hunter Ebs needs a move, ideally to a team that wants to play expansive football. Not Guardiola pressing fest.

I thought that too. He's not that joyful free spirit he used to be. Even Roy Keane thought he was grumpy.
