Pony Up: Dunne's a Pro, Blades for show Fred

Its going to be the alamo down our left side. Can see at least a couple of goals down that side, although JCS can perform well on the left side of defence, but how long will he play for and how cautious is he likely to be.

Wonder if Edwards has a clause in his contract to play a certain amount of games, this season, as at right back for him, am not convinced, and feel Mbengue is by far the better option.

Should we recall Celar, Field, or Lloyd?
at 19:27 27 Feb 2026

CELAR this season 15 appearances, 9 times on bench, not brought on.

Zero goals and zero assists.

So, as you say foreign players could need a year to adapt - well he is showing nothing in another country, not of his birth. He scored a brilliant hat trick in a pre season friendly, but been a nobody, ever since.

So , regards Zan the Man, we need to get rid a la Taylor Richards - its just never going to happen.

FIELD - can see Norwich looking at us in the same way we have done with Edwards at Saints, they probably looking to snap him up. For me, this is poor by the club, but can't see Sam playing for us anymore.

LLOYD - A lot of endeavour, great enthusiasm, aching to succeed, but is he good enough, or is he the latest incarnation of Ossie Kakay...

Think all three for different reasons, won't be seen on the pitch here, again...

You are a brave fellow PH. Failure will not be tolerated.....

I am with Spaceman - oddly confident with actual nothing solid to back up these feelings. Its who we are and what we do.

A stirring performance from half a team of youth and half a team of duffers.

3 - 1 to the Rrr's for me.
Bennie, Kone and Dunne on the scoresheet

Will Chair be back to his injury free best?
at 19:01 27 Feb 2026

Not sure what's going on with regards Chair.

Maybe he wants out, but the comments around his availability some time ago and several training setbacks later and now, suddenly its unknown as to his return.

We can all only guess. Is it mental health a la various in our past, has he lost his mojo for the game, are the reported setbacks all actually true but then why do we have no details to stop et al playing a guessing game.

Would love Chair to be back soon, but beginning to wonder have we seen the last of him. The smokescreens we have been sent, suggest all is not well, but the lack of detail is worrying.

Come back Illy, the fans love you, even if the regime may not....

Bloated staff numbers in football.

Happens everywhere now as so many staff dont do their real job that much as they are hamstrung by ridiculously over bureaucratic multiple and unneccessary admin.

Jobs for the boys - no doubt...

But in the real world - quarterly performance appraisals and three strikes and you are out - think the final disciplinary with P45 imminent is a close call right now....

But then, this is football and this is QPR !!!!

Prediction - Who gets injured on Saturday
at 09:15 27 Feb 2026

In order of the latest bookmakers odds ;

Kone (Odds on favourite)
JCS (Two minutes after coming on as Sub)
Dunne (Captains prerogative)
Walsh (Unavailable due to Sprained Wrist in Training)
Obikwu (Brought in to cover Burrell's absence - but has picked up another setback)
Chair (Fell over again between a rock and a hard place)

I may well be saying this with tongue firmly placed in cheek; or am I really ???

Classic post Hubble...

Yes in the 11th minute, lets have a round of sympathetic applause for the eleven that have fallen since the Stoke game and end the round of applause with a rendition of ;

"We want Williams out."

"Say, we want Williams out."

Yes and when the guys come on the pitch with their pitchforks at half time, let there be a cacophony of boos. It's all for the greater good.

Hope your daughter manages as soon as, to find her way to a happier place A40Bosh.

Hopefully time and life experiences get her to a better place in her thoughts.

Very tough for you all. Puts into perspective the madness of football and its really not of any importance whatsoever in the grand scheme of things.

Wishing you and your daughter well.

Numpty isnt a clue to something else, think we can all be Numpties at times.Twenty second decision when i signed up on here and am now forever Numpty.

My own personal mental health is all good these days, but wasnt always so.

Think you just tend to worry less as you get older, because you realise theres not much point in worrying. Dont change anything for the better or worse, so no point. And you gone through a few things and you realise not much point making life harder than it needs to be.

Although for me, if ever a username describes anyone who chooses to support our illustrious superhoops, Numpty could be very apt.....

There was a news report doing the rounds on youtube Connell.

So this guy was reporting on a fuel strike and he was filming at a local petrol garage.

Anyhow, he signed off saying his name.....

Phil McCann.....

Anyhow, thats actually true. Think whoever assigned who did what that day knew what they were doing !!!

There was a few of the usual suspects suggesting Stephan should not be in charge. To me, he is a decent manager, who has managed to keep us getting some results with a massively weakened squad because of so many long term injuries.

i was just saying Brian, i think we should give him time here, as keep getting rid of manager after manager has got us nowhere.

Point was making, was he is halfway decent. Lets see how he goes with more time to build.

if we got rid after say losing the next three, whats the point. We will just get another manager of similar or lesser pedigree...

But if we lose four nil at home on Saturday, the natives will be out for blood, for sure....

Was talking about our hire and fire after a few bad results not simply Stephan as an individual.

Sorry Ted. How many lines are you going to give me ????

Consider myself told off by loftforwords military police though....

I think we should give Stephan a few seasons here, instead of a few more months maximum.

Before i get accused of accepting mediocrity and accepting of 16th forevermore. I am not. I just think we have to give at least one of our many managerial selections, time to work here over a period of time where they can make an impact.

I just think giving a manager a few seasons to get in as many players, he also likes - appreciate some will be of the clubs choosing and working with all at QPR and how we currently operate and giving a manager time.

Tbh, if you keeping getting rid of the managers after a few bad games, that would be like accepting 16th as the dream, because thats whats happened here for years.

We beat the league leaders not so long ago and comprehensively beat the fourth team away from home, game before last. We can bounce back from this defeat. We played really well and won 3 - 1 against Charlton in the game following the 7 - 1 reverse against Coventry.

Immediate knee jerk reactions and sacking managers instantly, well they have all worked out so well. Give at least one of these guys a real and proper crack. Who knows if it will work but i think a change of approach is required now

Some were advocating Holloways time here. Yes he got us promoted from a lower quality league, but that was after a relegation. We stuck with a manager then for five seasons and things improved.

If you get rid of Stephan, you are getting a similar standard or worse candidate to have four months to a year to get it right and three consecutive defeats and we get rid and start the whole sorry merry go round agaim.

Lets try a different way and see where this takes us.

The way we chop and change so often is getting us nowhere and never will.

Not accepting of 16th at all.

Just in favour of giving a manager a few seasons to get in as many players of his own- appreciate some will be of the clubs choosing and working with all at QPR and how we currently operate and giving a manager time.

So many more things now that young people today worry about that didn't concern previous generations so greatly.

I know a nice looking woman who has body dysmorphia, who has wasted thousands on two nose jobs that no one can see any difference.

Eating disorders were more linked to women but you right, young men also have problems with such things now.

The Internet, mobile phones and filters on photos have a lot to answer for and peer pressure, as always.

I think, as a young guy wanted to look my best, so tried to wear decent clothes and went down the gym, exercised and played a few sports.

An older middle aged man. I have a couple of extra stones, and its mainly around the midriff - wonder why !!? I can't say I like seeing my side profile reflecting back to me from shop windows, but its just part of life.

But its so sad to see many people struggle with not liking themselves or their appearance.

Progress doesnt extend in every area of life - not at all !!!

In league two.

His last three seasons here, we finished 18th, 16th and 21st.

We are much better placed currently and dont go on long losing streaks.

His best days are long gone now. Blackpool 15 years ago, was his peak. Be great achievement for him if he could get Swindon promoted though.
