A horribly familiar sinking feeling — report
at 02:29:30

A complete lack of preparation for the new season. We had plenty of time to prepare and we have coaches coming out of out ears. This team needs a good talk about taking responsibility. I can only take heart from Spurs, poor start to the season last year.

A way to win - report
at 00:29:51

Great report as ever..By the way the roar was heard in Kincumber in New South Wales, well I m sure the building shook. 7 for a man who got sent off, if his plan hadn't worked he Would be swaying in the breeze hanging from the floodlights.
Onward and upward to the Premier League, experience alone will not help us.

Austin beats QPR’s path to Wembley Way — report
at 05:38:37

2 great nights of football. First City a simply sublime performance and for us, simply a performance. Clattenberg reminded me of Jim Finney another great referee. That is what football should be like not idiots showing yellow cards all night long. I have watched it twice now and it gets better all the time. Live was great but I have to think of the missus and turn the sound off so the replay with sound made it beautiful. Should be like wembley in 1967, in the final.Cant wait.

Eat, sleep, rave, repeat — report
at 07:34:49

Goalkeepers got marked 4 and 5 and it was one all, enough said. I hope next season will be better than this and hopefully it won't be at a higher levee, hang on I don't really mean that. If we go up i hope we have a good manager and some decent players. Apologies to those player that are decent.

If you give us 90 minutes, we'll give you a lifetime

Excellent read. It would be ironic if Carroll progresses into a REAL number 10. Many a player has won over the crowd after a shaky start.

Zamora’s freakish late show seals win at Boro — report
at 04:57:48

I am glad I didn't get up to watch it, waiting for some juicy bits until the 90 minute would have been mind numbingly boring. I would have gone to bed halfway through the second half. Much nicer seeing the score and then the highlights. I will watch on Tuesday to see if a spark had been ignited. Got my Alec Stock memorial programme today, I look forward to reading your contribution, Clive.

McClaren's superior prep leaves Redknapp facing questions — report
at 10:18:47

Barton can't shut up that is the problem. If he had shut up we would probably have had a penalty when he was grabbed round the neck and wrestled to the ground.

McClaren's superior prep leaves Redknapp facing questions — report
at 01:28:33

My impression of the first half: If Henry had been selected he might have out muscled the Derby midfield who were doing what they liked. Traore should have come on for either the Frenchman or Krankjar. Might have made a difference.

Late Doncaster goal floors lame QPR - report
at 03:11:41

SWP would put in more of an effort than all but Barton. We need more goals from midfield if we are going to play with one up front. Not that SWP is the answer, but someone needs to put their hand up.

McCarthy holds improving QPR at bay — report

The free kick was well worked and premeditated in my opinion. Nice to see the ball not ending up at the back of the stand.

Back to the future — preview
at 04:59:50

I don't know exactly where the stadium will be but it had got to be better than when I played on Wormwood Scrubs. Carrying out the goal posts, with slopes and wide open spaces. If the ball went out of play you needed a bike to go and fetch it. Freezing cold water and cattle troughs to get the mud off which was about 3 inches deep and that was just on the players. Now in my old age, I will make sure I get back to see it and those cosseted professionals playing there. Things are looking up.

Great stuff, a youngster scoring on debut. Maybe our club is back on the right track.

Dominant but wasteful, QPR left to rely on Hoilett equaliser — report
at 07:32:27

So Mick McCarty reckons that the teams in the Championship are as bad as each other. He must surely have spent a lot of time in this Division, so why isn't he more successful? After all the coaching and the FA and football leagues are to blame for the standard.

In the real world a point away is good. 4points a fortnight will do the job.

QPR off to winning start as Sheff Wed pay penalty — match report
at 00:56:01

Take your point about the flares, every terrorist must be licking his lips, if you can get a large flare into the ground, when will we get a bomb. Enjoyed the game for the start of rebuilding, we will be playing better teams so those points were important.
Barton was OK but it is not hard to find a bloke on the other side of the field in acres of space. He is such a petty little man, he just has to wind the opposition and ref up. One thing in his favour he shows more passion than most of the impostors we had last season. I have always liked Traore but we those howlers I don't expect to see him again. Now for the hard part, a cup game.

Happy Harry promises ‘mind blowing’ signings as QPR start campaign — preview
at 01:31:22

It is impossible to predict how this team will start proceedings,.Apart from no scorer, draws would have put punters in the mix. Getting the score right was a little harder.

I think we will do well this season but not immediately. I mean the new boys need to know who they are playing with. Glad to see 'array has bought another winger, perhaps one who can cross a ball. 'arry and Sissons were some of the best wingers I ever saw, so 'array knows a thing or two about wing play. I think we might surprise a few this week with a 2-0 win.

How's your luck? QPR nab Burnley striker Austin

Redknapp gambles on veteran Dunne
at 00:33:04

We got lucky with Nelsen, can we get lucky again? If he can change the poisonous atmosphere in the team it will be a good thing. I wonder if Dunne was a mate of Barton at CIty, they seem to be two of a kind. We might see the nutter appear in our colours again. Interesting days ahead.

Typically quiet exit for QPR’s understated Czech

But for his back, he could have saved us a fortune in wages and we may even have conceded less goals. Goodbye Radek and thanks.
