Well that was pretty awful. Just hope its all to do with fitness but the green team were shambolic....almost as bad as the BT joke commentator! |

Completely agree. I thought JWP did really well in harrying the Liverpool back line and winning the ball back. Best thing was we played as a team, seemed confident and together. RoKo has got them playing as a unit and deserved at least a draw. Glad its out the way and SFC 2014-15 can start to move forward without all the doom and gloom. |

Musing on the decision to move to an all red strip modelled by Chung reminded me of an article written when ML bought Saints. The article emphasised that football clubs were financially viable when purchased in the lower leagues for a five year period during which time results and promotions significantly increase their value. I suspect that NC and the Liebherr family are preparing for a sale next year of a premiership team in "all red" to an eastern buyer ( see Cardiff) This isn't about tradition or a liking for Liverpool, but simply a case of increasing the potential value of a financial asset. |

Don't normally write on the forum but so saddened by the new kit. Really looking forward to Saints in "version of red and white with black shorts" back in the premier. this is just odd. i can live with the shirt but red shorts and sox. this is a complete re- brand not a new strip. is this asia, switzerland, or is it just that our players are so dull they can't manage to pass to colleagues dressed in more than one colour. |
