I like Bernard Cornwells Saxon series and Conn Igguldens series on the Mongol Empire and a special mention has to go to Steven Pressfields books on ancient greece (yes im into historical fiction).
Autobiographical book has to be "marching powder" by Rusty Young,an easy, gripping and fluid book, truelly a must read.
Still dig George Orwells 1984 out every now and then.

JT is a very gifted player, and we'd be mad to let him go. All these Thompson bashers must be old school fans, wanting to see a giant of a man smashing people out of the way, and going off the pitch every game with a bandage around his head.
If you stop berating him, and actually watch his performance, he's a good player, and helps our cause whenever he comes on. I.e Walsall away this season, people behind me were shouting and raging at him for backing out of a challenge, when infact he sheilded a player off the ball and won us a corner. |

14 on target 7 off target, thats the difference, create and shoot, and guess what, you eventually score, we looked far far more dangerous going forward than we have in ages.
Great to have a clean sheet too by the way, very impressed with the keeper today, and Longy was class, lets try get him for the rest of the season, he's the dominant defender we've been lacking.

Having just had a quick look over at the Accy messageboard it would appear they dont like outsiders, they are probably feeling the same as we were when barnsleys lot came on here with the whole hill/croft thing to be fair, so we shouldn't add salt to their wounds.
If this does happen it will be interesting to see who would get the vacant job at Accrington |
