The top teams also move the ball forward quickly and decisively , not so slow it lets the opposition mark all your players up making it virtually impossible to attack

Your comments on Ipswich today are spot on ……. But
Don’t forget Wrexham beat them twice ,drew once ,made Ipswich look very ordinary in each game and put 5 past them last time out
That’s how far off we are

Wrexham up there is going to be very difficult ,especially if Matos doesn’t start getting the team and tactics spot on and more importantly playing forwards with passion and pride not this slow, ponderous, ambitionless cack we played today , Ipswich didn’t break sweat today and the Jacks who made the long ,tiring trip to east anglia deserved a lot better

He’s been poor defensively all right
And the midfield has been crap too ,then again nobody has looked any good today

We look worse than we did at Bristol away

As Tymon provides a lovely assist for the Ipswich 3rd goal

Ipswich passing around for fun and all we do is sideways and back

Beyond Embarrassing today

Sideways and back , Sideways and back

And some people think we can get into the playoffs

It’s like midweek training for Ipswich

It’s quite obvious to everyone that these people have no investigative or reporting skills at all
You lads put them to shame on such a regular basis it’s beyond embarrassing
Keep up the great work Keith and co , are a credit to our club and football journalism everywhere

Cardiff City with big losses declared

Hit them with a big points deduction and a transfer embargo
Although I bet the Welsh assembly and WFA would bail them out as they want everything up there

Key put some great work in last night when he came on , the way he was going past defenders at pace was really good to see, did some good covering as well ,also nice to see him pull their player back on halfway instead of letting him get down the wing and stopping an attack, other teams do it to us ,about time we got a bit cynical

Preston just pumped long balls forward ,either in the wide channels or straight down the middle and whichever of their players were closest, chased after the ball and others ran to the edge of the 18 yard box waiting for cutbacks to shoot at goal
The way we set up 1st half and gave their widemen so much time and space played into their hands , second half was a different story we looked better, played faster and they didn’t like it and we really should have scored more
Lesson learnt hopefully

Agree ,we seem to take so long taking throws on both sides
Eom takes a cracking long throw though to be fair ,something we’ve missed since Roberts left

I thought last night in the stadium from where I was sitting that Vigaroux could have done better with the Preston goal , looking at the highlights it confirms what I saw , he let the cross into the box run across in front of him within easy reach , he’s a brilliant snap saver but doesn’t sense danger and seems reluctant to come off his line ,appearing to be glued to it , how many times has it happened this season
Yes he’s saved us many times as well but how many goals have we conceded because he ball watches and doesn’t react and won’t come off the line

Ben played some really poor balls tonight,Cam is better when he just does the simplest things, dealing with high balls etc , he also played some dodgy passes tonight ,it’s not really his game
Widell and Yalcouye made a big difference when they came on,looking to turn forward every time and running at Preston ,Galbraith also has more influence on games when playing like he did second half
Ronald struggled tonight,so frustrating to watch
But we battled and got the goal we deserved ,should have been more with our second half chances but we didn’t lose, which was important

It was a great 3 points yesterday
A battling result against difficult opponents
It still drives me crazy ,how balls that are just blindly hacked away and ricochets and deflections always seem to fall to the opposition , we never seem to get any luck with loose balls ,it’s uncanny
The other thing that had me bouncing yesterday was that prat with the whistle,it’s like we always seem to get the incompetent ones ,drives me crazy,he gave fouls that weren’t and didn’t give ones that were ….. but at least yesterday he was cack with both sides
Cam and Ben were great yesterday and Franco was everywhere
I’d still like to see Vig go long down the middle now and again ,yesterday there were gaps between their back 3 we could have tried to exploit
But great result

Rushworth is creating havoc just booting the ball long straight downfield , classic route 1 stuff and Boro can’t handle it

Coventry getting the ball forward and playing balls into the box very quickly and winning as a result,Middlesbrough with twice as many passes but most of them around the middle of the pitch going nowhere ,when they do go forward and wide quickly they are creating chances but Coventry look dangerous every time they play forward

I stand corrected
But still tall enough to jump and punch the ball instead of staying rooted to the line
Great reaction saver though

I think it’s a lot to do with the way the game has evolved, back in the day British keepers ruled their areas , great under the high ball ,getting stuck in,not just punching but catching the ball as well and it was foreign keepers who couldn’t cope with the high balls ,nowadays it’s rare to see a British keeper comfortable in the air ,almost like they’re afraid of contact and taking a knock
The emphasis now is for the keeper to be more of a footballer , like a sweeper almost , playing passes out from the back

Vigs is a big lad ,6’6 ,if he jumped with his arm extended to punch the ball he could probably clear a lot, he just prefers to stay stuck on his line
