Swans Look To Halt Pilgrims Progress

The Swans will look to end the division's only unbeaten home run tomorrow when they travel to York Street to take on Boston for the second time within a month in the league.

Thirteen sides have tried and failed against the Pilgrims on their own patch this season and Kenny Jackett will be hoping that, seeing as 13 failed, 14 is the unlucky number tomorrow as his side looks to consolidate third place.

Swansea eased off in the second half at the Vetch after building up a three goal first half lead against Boston just after Christmas but the Swans can expect a much tougher test this time around with a win almost certain to move Boston into the play off positions as the season moves closer to it's climax.

For the first time since his summer move from Millwall, the Swans will not have Willy Gueret in goal after he picked up his fifth booking of the season in last weekend's 2-2 draw with Wycombe. In his place Brian Murphy will come in for his first start since the back end of last season when the Swans won at Darlington. It is likely to be a one off chance for Murphy to impress although he could also find himself a starter in the Swans next game in midweek against Caernarfon.

Also out for the Swans are Roberto Martinez and Kris O'Leary and they are joined by new casualties Kevin Nugent and Brad Maylett. Jackett does seem certain to name an unchanged side from that which started against Reading on Monday night meaning Ijah Anderson will start after signing a new contract that will keep him at the Vetch until the end of next season.

For the home side, Mark Greaves proved his fitness against Hartlepool and should feature at some point giving them an almost fully fit squad to choose from.

Only a fool would suggest that the Swans will find it as relatively easy as they did at the Vetch but this is a side at the moment whose confidence is high and now the FA Cup is no longer a distraction it's the home straight to what we hope will be promotion and I think that may be enough to see a Swans victory.

Let's hope so
