Abbott , 24, has found the net just twice more outside of those two goals this season and hasn't played since being sent off on New Year's Day in a 3-0 defeat at Doncaster.
Abbott is rumoured to have fallen out of favour with Terriers boss Peter Jackson and may be available for a transfer.
Abbott has been a success at Huddersfield, scoring 14 times last season and 27 times the season before and overall has a strike record for them of around 1 in 2.
Swansea are in the market for a new striker having sold Rory Fallon to Plymouth for £300,000 last week and it is rumoured that any move for Abbott could only cost us up to half of that transfer fund which seems a good bit of business.
