Dale have added to the ranks with the signing of goalkeeper Jay Lynch on a two year deal, but it asks further questions over the future of Josh Lillis.

He has spent the last two seasons at AFC Fylde, taking them to the Conference Play Offs last season. He was offered a new deal in the Summer but turned it down with a view to moving to the Football League. He was named as the National League Goalkeeper of the Year last season in recognition of his performances for the Coasters.

He has been at the club for a couple of weeks or so, having been linked with moves to Barnsley and Plymouth over the course of the Summer.

The signing of a fourth goalkeeper leaves questions regarding the future of Josh Lillis. Lillis has been absent from the first team squad so far this season, with youngster Brad Wade taking acting as the back up keeper on matchdays. it has been pointed out that Lillis is in the final year of his contract but he's not alone within the squad in that respect.
