Transfer rumour season seems to have kicked off a bit earlier than usual this year with stories circulating about two Dale youngsters being linked with moves away from Spotland.

The first one was Kwadwo Baah. The Dale attacker had all but signed for Premier League Champions Manchester City in January before it became known that he failed a medical ahead of the move. Well Sky Sports are now reporting that Watford are closing in on a deal to sign Baah with a fee of £125,000 being mentioned in some quarters. The 18 year old is out of contract in the summer as far as we know, which will stop Dale getting a true value for the player.

Baah has played 33 games in all competitions this season although only 15 of them have been from the start and he’s scored 3 goals, all of which were stunning goal of the season contenders.

The other Dale player who could well be on the move is young midfielder Ethan Brierley. The 17 year old has been talked about as a big prospect for the past couple of years and now it seems he’s been training with Premier League Champions Manchester City in recent weeks according to Pete O’Rourke.

Brierley has played 8 times this season in all competitions including 1 start and 3 sub appearances in the league.
