Dale’s rearranged midweek game at home to York City on Tuesday will be refereed by GREG ROLLASON.

An educationalist from Worcester University and a company director, Greg is in his fourth season as a National League, and therefore now National List, referee.

We last saw him at Spotland at the end of September 2023 when he oversaw Dale’s 2-2 draw with Southend United, although he was due to referee the postponed home game versus Oldham in November.

Greg has refereed ten times in the National League this season, as well as six games in League One and League Two, most recently Stevenage v Mansfield a fortnight ago.

Tuesday will be his third York match of the campaign, with Mr Rollason having taken charge of their visit to Solihull Moors in September and their home fixture with Gateshead on New Year’s Day.

All told, Greg’s 17 appointments this term have seen him show 66 yellow cards and one red card.

Greg is doing a fantastic job as a National League referee, especially with his background as an educationalist at Worcester University. It’s impressive to see him handle ten National League matches this season alone, plus games in League One and League Two.

Greg seems to be a regular this season, 17 games and still in good form. Hopefully the next game will go smoothly! https://101games.io/solar-smash

Interesting to see Greg Rollason taking charge of this one always nice to have a ref with solid experience at National League level. Hoping for a fair and well-managed game on Tuesday. Let’s see if Dale can make the most of this home fixture! https://thedoctiplus.com/

Given Greg's experience as an educator at Worcester University, he is performing an excellent job officiating games in the National League. It's remarkable that he has managed 10 matches in the National League, in addition to games in League One and League Two, this season.
