Jim McNulty has bolstered his defensive options by adding Barnet left wingback Ryan Galvin to the squad on loan following the departure of Kevin Berkoe back to Salford.

Galvin came up through the ranks at Wigan Athletic before joining Sheffield Wednesday on a free transfer in January 2020 and made 4 appearances for Wednesday, all in cup competitions before leaving Hillsborough in the summer of 2023. While at Wednesday, he had loan spells at Gloucester City where he made 19 appearances and Maidstone United where he made 24 appearances, scoring once.

In June 2023, Galvin joined FC Halifax Town where he went on to make 71 appearances, scoring twice before joining National League champions Barnet this past summer as they were promoted to League Two. Opportunities have been limited for the 24-year-old this season at The Hive and he's only made 13 appearances in all competitions, scoring once in the EFL Cup, a dramatic 97th minute goal on debut having only come on as a substitute after 81 minutes against Newport County. His last appearance for Barnet came in the EFL Trophy near the end of October.
