Rochdale have agreed a deal to sign Wigan Athletic midfielder Baba Adeeko, according to professional ITK Pete O'Rourke.

The 23-year-old has made over 80 appearances for the Latics and will now make the move to the Crown Oil Arena as Rochdale strengthen their midfield ahead of the new League Two season.

Injuries have plagued Ian Watson's squad since he came in, including central midfielder Casey Pettit who is set to miss months of the season after an injury during our game away at Tranmere.

Welcome to Rochdale, Baba!
