Agree on the first two points - but have Burnley got £2.5m to offer for a centreback?

Considering Michael Duff is about 36 and after that their next choice is Kevin Long, CB is the place that Burnley really need to add the quality this summer. Their midfield has slightly more about it (and more Premier League experience in that Ross Wallace, Dean Marney and Dave Jones have all played PL football before) and their two forwards were absolutely tremendous for them last season.

They need additions in all departments. Midfield is pedestrian and needs real quality, while up front Vokes is out for a while and they'd need someone else even if he wasn't. Don't get me wrong, they did really well last year and Dyche got it spot in when he quickly identified the benefits of a settled side who all knew their jobs to perfection, but they're a way short throughout the squad at the moment.

This being my point in querying their priorities. I hope Burnley survive in the premiership. Whatever other people's take on rivalry between our fans, as a town supporting their local club they have a fantastic gate/population ratio. They have a proud history which puts the pretensions of the likes of bury in the shade. Rather than resenting their success, we could learn from them.
