This time last year 10:45 - Jun 14 with 3675 views | rochdale1 | This time last year, had we made a few signings? All seems very quite at the minute, do you think will be much activity in terms of players coming in etc?
This time last year on 10:59 - Jun 14 with 3651 views | isitme | Last year we have very few players under contract and we needed virtually a new squad of players. I suppose this time round after the signings of Muldoon and McGinty and re-signings of Lillis and Done Hilly is only on the look out for a few players to complete the squad. Many players will be on holiday and also as has been said before some agents are looking for silly money at this time of year. By mid to late July you get better value for money as players start to get itchy feet, also young premier league players start to become available for loan. In Keith we trust.
This time last year on 12:54 - Jun 14 with 3551 views | olympicdale | Hill has already stated he doesn't expect many more signings, or "what was the point doing what we did last year", he firmly believes this group of players can compete at L1 level, i dont expect more than 1 more at a push.

There must be a few signings in the offing...........Keith released 6 players at the end of the season and whilst most were on the fringe we cannot go into League 1 with a threadbare squad. We need back up. Perhaps Muldoon was the marque signing but there must be others on the radar. Who replaces King Cav for example?

This time last year on 13:34 - Jun 14 with 3494 views | pl56 | Whilst confident in Keith Hill's strategy , I do wonder where goals are going to be found with a reasonable degree of confidence in the higher league . Personally I view Muldoon's signing as a replacement for Gray and Abadaki in terms of potential , so I do hope for another striker to replace the wage we freed up on the return of our loanees . I also agree another midfielder would bolster the squad to allow youngsters like Camps and Cannon time to develop . I suspect an earlier poster may be right in that we'll hear not a lot until much later this year when the potential for loanees will be clearer , and I also wonder if the odd triallist might appear on our pre-season tour when expectations of players without clubs might be more realistic .

I know as fans we want to see lots of activity in bringing players in, but Im sure we all trust Hill, if he believes that what we have is good enough, thats fine by me, and if he wants to bring in more, thats his call, you know what its like buying players in a world cup year anyway

Of the six players though how many were first team regulars? Gray no, porter no, Abadeki no, Thompson no, Only cav. Would expect a midfielder to come in and a reserve keep alongside the normal trialists for preseason
This time last year on 16:32 - Jun 14 with 3358 views | 49thseason | I Have stopped trying to guess what Hilly will do next. You might think we new a Cav replacement - maybe he is thinking he already has one in the squad - probably someone you would never have thought of. Who, at this time last year, thought an ideal left back would be Matt Done? Give it up lads - trying to guess what Hilly will do next is like trying to nail a jelly to the wall! Be patient, you will be surprised - and that is the only certainty. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

We haven't got a threadbare squad.
| When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf? |

This Campbell fella from Costa Rica and arsenal seems alright, do reckon he'll swap champions league football in Greece for league 1?
