Always used to get off the bus and straight in the White Rose, then around to the Oystercatcher (which is now Costa Coffee) and we'd do the mile. I know the mile is a shadow of itself now. The station on high st used to be our start off (became the Pullman?, god knows what it is now) then the Cardiff, Duke, Cross Keys, New York, maybe Terminus and back up towards the Kingsway for the New Swan and Top Wrank. Also the Park, remember that place? Sad to see all these places gone. Is the White Rose on Walter Rd still there? |  |

Funny how the Tenby has endured through the decades more or less unchanged, and yes I do remember the brief name change to the Churchill in fact I worked there around that time.
