Just wondering where you're off on holidays....anywhere exciting ?
I'm off to Greece to help them sort out the economy.

Moderator......Thanks for moving this onto the correct category page, and apologies for being so stupid in the first place.

Cruise in October, Corfu Slovenia Venice Croatia and Montenegro. Normally go to Sharm for new year but too pricey for my liking this year

Are you going on Thompson Majesty?

Did the same cruise a few years back, very enjoyable.

Montenegro, stunning.

It depends on your cruising experience.
We have tried out lots of different cruise lines from Thomson through to Cunard, Celebrity & P&O.
As long you set your expectations at the right level you'll have a brilliant time.
We did three cruises with Thomson and thoroughly enjoyed all of them.
Cruising into and out of Venice is an experience not to be missed (even if you have to get up early)
Going to Croatia & Eastern Med later in the summer, so will update then.

Done the Red Sea with Thomson and western Mediterranean with a sister ship, I love it but the missus likes swimming and the pools/ports haven't really lent themselves to that.
I'm hoping the ship will still go past St. marks square as I've heard they're trying to stop it and make the liners take the commercial route

Well I'm off to Oz to watch The Ashes in the country that stole them off us. Back on the first day of the season. Bound to be a home game.

Laganas, flying early Monday morning

Laganas is busy, so if you are hiring a car, and want a quiet day on the beach, try Gerakas . Great beach with a couple of nice restaurants / bars

Not on the aurora at the end of july are you? If so, start a chorus of H&A and I'll buy you a beer. Never realised there were so many of us old fogey cruise wallahs around the liberty.

No. I went on P&O Azura recently. Lots on there from Swansea and surrounding areas.
Going on Celebrity cruise in August. Tends to be a lot more Americans on there

Yeah going with Celebrity cruises.

Is it worth getting off at Warnamunde? I won't be going across to Berlin then if it takes that long!

Yeah, I will be booking the tour in St Petersburg independently for the reasons you've mentioned. The independent tours also seem to be less busy. My parents have been and said it was a beautiful and very clean city.

I'm looking forward to it. Did you enjoy it overall?

There is a painting in St Peterburg of my great Dadgu oldest and longest working miner in the world.
He was a communist in Rhondda when my family moved from North Wales.
Anyway David Davies was his name
