How do those two rate? | | | | |

He looks even more gormless with his sunglasses on, he's a sight for so eyes honestly

This is one of the pubs that are plumbing the depths on trip adviser. The Beaufort is another. Then there is the Gower Inn! I am not sure I have seen any other establishment having such poor ratings anywhere in the UK. Basically if it a chain avoid like the plague then form your own judgement in the independents. I am in Dunvant and most eateries are really poor. The Village Inn is good but closes early for food. It's the Joiners in Three Crosses for me. It's a work in progress but they are a lovely couple in charge and the food is good and reasonable. Apologies. You did say pubs. The Pilot in Mumbles is my favourite. [Post edited 2 Oct 2016 20:43]

It's not a chain. It is very shabby inside though, so I can understand bad reviews. The Gower Inn and Beaufort are. Beaufort used to do decent food, it's a Sizzler or something now.

Beaufort in Kittle? that used to be very good, but went there a few yrs ago and it was really poor, food luke warm and the wait for the food once ordered was shocking, its a job to know where to go these days. Tried the Breakfast at Castellamare a week last Friday and it was poor, Kitchen Table just after Oystermouth was overpriced tat as well, after having the place recommended to me it was really disappointing.

Yeah the one in Kittle. Food has gone really down hill. It's your standard two meals for a tenner job. Not eaten at the one in Norton.

Alan Hansen's nephew owns it now apparently, he's making a good go of it as well from what I've heard.

Yes, yes they do Max!! | | | |
Favourite pubs in Gower on 09:42 - Oct 3 with 658 views | Ptpeaty | Thought the Dolphin in Llanrhidian OK with a tidy pint of London Pride. The Welcome to Town has reopened as a pub/restaurant but have not been there yet to try it. For me, the King Arthur is one of the best pubs on Gower, with a great selection of ales and good food. Always busy, and there's a reason for that! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

He may well be and good luck to him. I'll stay out of there and the Gower Inn until they start serving home cooked food. That's just me though, both are great if you just want a beer

Every time I go there I am astonished that someone doesn't take that over. It must have the best view of any pub in the country - as good a view as anywhere in the world probably, and yet it's so poor.

Not defending it at all, because it is a dark and dingy shitpit inside. Every time I go there though (usually nice days in the summer to be fair) it's rammed. They can probably afford to just rely on location and remoteness.

Its my nearest pub the only one in the village. I've set foot in there once in the last 15 years. Doesn't have to try relies solely on the location.
