It's a stupid way to vote. Players from well-supported clubs get all the votes because the vast majority of fans would only ever vote for their own players, so players from clubs like Dale barely get any votes. Consequently, Basham and Morais each have 31% of the votes whilst NML has 5%. How a player has actually played is completely irrelevant where these kind of polls are concerned. Always argued this on Twitter (and feel the wrath of the 'big club' fans as a result). A player from a team with a larger fanbase is ALWAYS going to win these awards, unless Mendez had scored 32 goals in 4 games. It's a joke really. |  | | |
