Whatever it is, he isn't catching at Villa compared to his Brentford spell.
In the time before he was sold last season he amassed 14 goals in 25 league games for Brentford. 1 in 2 at Championship level is exceptional; even if that slipped to 1 in 3 it's still decent.
At Villa in the 2nd half of last season it was 1 in 13, followed by 0 in 11 in league games so far this campaign.
Bizzare, but I guess that that is football. Bruce seems not to rate him to start and prefer him to come on as sub but for whatever reason he's not firing as we hoped he would. |  |

Even when he came on it he seemed to be playing left midfield rather than up front. They have some decent strikers in fairness but makes you wonder why they spent around 12 million on him. Would not shock me to see Scott loaned out or even sold in January. Can’t see him coming back here on loan in a million years sadly. |  |

He played a few pre season games and bagged a few playing central, but seems well down the pecking order. Would suit a Norwich type team if he was to play every week | | | |
