I admit that I didn't pay much attention to the rules imposed on the Premiership or play-off teams over summer. But what restrictions will Dale players be under for the season?
I am assuming that the Bio bubbles that were seen with Test Cricket are out. But are players restricted in other ways - can't travel in the same car for training, can't room share anymore when staying as a team in a hotel, can they all sit on the same coach and meet covid safe workplace regulations? I am just intrigued as it will be a nightmare to manage to keep everybody safe. And the club costs for travel will be inflated significantly

The heavens opened as I hit the town, so I dived under the awning at the shoulder of mutton, and didn’t move tbh. I then went to the Honest John in Tod, v nice and well organised. I’m now at the flying horse . Didn’t ask for my details, didn’t see anyone else getting asked either! |  |

That's no problem then, let's just stop all sport, and further restrict all other activity that involves coming into anything like contact with other people (see 442's post); pubs, restaurants, workplaces, schools, shops, public transport, you name it - until it meets the specification that you deem not to be farcical

I'd have no problem with all that,or at least make some of the rules remotely aligned with a degree of common sense, the fact you cant see family in your own garden yet can go and watch live sport or get pissed surrounded by complete strangers is fooking ridiculous however you dress it up. | | | |

There are other threads where general issues can be picked up on, but i'll have to repeat, this thread was intended to clarify what guidelines concerning sports teams were. It's a fluid situation (water breaks included), and there will be plenty more changes - out of necessity - before we're finished
The current guidelines are not ridiculous, they're enabling sport to take place at great relief and interest to most of us. Of course there will be cases where infections arise with teams, and they're dealt with - but an amazingly small number compared to the overall level of sporting activity. So they can be rightly deemed as being successful
Comparisons with other aspects of daily life affected by the pandemic get us nowhere; we know about them, we're living them. Hope that helps you, it's meant for that purpose |  |
