Makes no difference whatsoever,you could put the ball in from Mars..... if you can't defend routine bread and butter balls into the box whilst not putting chances away, you won't win many football matches | | | |

Our inability to defend from crosses and set pieces is beyond disgusting now and I'm sick of it.
We played so well, but we just simply can't defend crosses and haven't been able to for a number of seasons now and I've had enough of it. | |

That's a shame. I thought we played really well, we definitely didn't look a side from a division below. Kelly our best player when we get him on the ball, and Odoh also had a great game.
It's clear to see we are short on quality up front, Bees works hard but he missed a good chance at 1-1 when he skewed wide instead of getting it on target on squaring to Odoh, and he should be burying that header at the end, although it's a great save. Also thought Dooley very ineffective when they brought him on.
Poor officials today, if the ref books the right player early in the second half for that foul on Bees (he booked the player Bees fell into as opposed to the player who tripped him), that's a second yellow with 35 mins to go. Not to mention the offside and the ball not being in the quadrant for the corner.
A shame, as we played well enough to win it, but if we can provide more performances with that kind of energy we'll have a good rest of season. | | | |

Good show from our lot...we didn't let the Club down at all.
We were all over them 2nd half and should have won it till our Achilles heel shows up....we are shit at defending corners!
Credit to Ryan Lowe (that hurts to admit!) for going for it.....his subs worked ours did not.

Find it hard to be too critical of that performance.
You can’t be relying on the officials to defend corners or win games for you, but there was a series of bad decisions today at critical moments of the game (which others have already highlighted). The corners were particularly infuriating given how far out of the D they were each time.
Thought any of the three centre midfielders could have been subbed at halftime. Credit to Stockdale for the changes he made then though, we came out much better second half and Morley and Kelly were probably our best players from thereon.
Was also impressed by Dorsett’s performance having seen very little of him until today. O’Keefe and Odoh probably the other players meriting specific praise.
Beesley and Andrews should be scoring at least one of the chances created for them mind.
Despite that, I still have the belief we’re a team on the up and look more organised an outfit than last season. Perhaps the video package on Cloughy pre-match has made me overly sentimental though. [Post edited 5 Dec 2021 20:44]
