Rail seating feedback 13:28 - Dec 20 with 4212 views | dmm | I expect many will have received an email from the club today asking for further feedback from supporters on rail seating. It looks like the lower Loft is being seriously considered now. Given the upset it will cause among those currently seated there and those who were moved when it was changed to the family stand, I think the club wants to see the level of support they have if it was decided to go ahead with that plan.

Rail seating feedback on 18:00 - Dec 21 by Lanhoop | Still no email and not in junk so it's not gone to everyone, at least not yet. I've really no problem if they want to do it in LL (as long as my moving out is done considerately) but I think the assumption that rail seats will improve the atmosphere is a bit previous. Happy to be proved wrong but I don't expect to be. |
Yeah I'm with you on that, haven't had the email either. I find it comical that people think standing will improve the atmosphere. Have been to multiple away games with terracing the last 20 years and the atmosphere is usually awful, Brentford away a prime example. I'm old enough to remember the Loft with terracing, was great for the big games, not so great for the rest pretty much same as it is now. I hope it works but have serious doubts. The ultras thing that this group want to do behind the goal could be done without safe standing to be honest but I think bringing in the standing helps to justify moving people out.

Rail seating feedback on 18:14 - Dec 21 by Rangersw12 | I'm happy with the rail seating but I don't want a manufactured atmosphere like at Palace with banners and flags etc There also seems to a bit of a myth that the lower loft used to be bouncing before it was a family stand but from what I remember it was only decent when we had a big game |
I don't get all the sniffy stuff about Palace. All they've done is put fans who want to sing all through games together in one place, and they've done the flags or whatever. It's a bit of fun, and Palace always sounds good on TV. For the life of me I can't work out what's wrong with it. It's not manufactured, they're real people there singing real songs. Good on them.

The Palace thing started years back when Dowie was manager possibly earlier and fans got together with an equivalent of the P, Q and R blocks we have making most of the noise and it's grown over the years from one block to the whole stand

They started off in the corner of the stand and then threw their toys out of the pram until they got seats in the middle of the stand behind the goal.I wouldn’t be happy if I got moved out of my seat so muppets with flags could take my place. They dislike old palace songs and try to drown them out with their own stuff. Almost as bad as having clappers in my eyes. And I’d be embarrassed if we had to resort to becoming like their ultras.
