Apart from the obvious flaws in the system which has been covered on here a few million times, I was wondering that given the current inflationary backdrop of the country as a whole which football clubs will not be immune to, especially given that such things as minimum wage increases have been higher than inflation (6%) last year for example and not forgetting that football like any other business will not benefit from the price energy cap, then why has the limit be fixed at a rolling £39million loss over three years. In addition to this there is a bias in the system towards more regional clubs, especially those in the north where probably the cost of wages and player wages will generally be lower than in the south and especially London. Could it be that we are probably more limited by FFP than any other club in the championship? | |
