I am sure someone at Ajax will have contact details for him...thing is, compared to many clubs, the debt here is minimal, the commute is easy from Manchester airport, ( but apparently Bergkamp doesnt fly so Hull would be his obvious route). We have decent training facilities, a modernish ground, and we are surounded by Prem clubs that offload unfulfilled talent every year. The initial cost would be less than many, releasing cash for players and improvements.
I guess somewhere like Blackpool or Wigan would be a better long term prospect, but at what cost? £10-20m at Rochdale would go a lot further than at Blackpool or similar and the learning curve into lower league football wouldn't be as steep at our level. |  |
