Saturday 25th January 2020. Rochdale 2 Gillingham 2. One, if not the worst refereeing performances in living memory at Spotland. One incident (among many) was even highlighted on the EFL show, the referee was that poor. Numerous complaints were registered by other clubs that season about the same official and he was demoted.
