Time to go Jim. The turning point 16:36 - Feb 22 with 41569 viewsThreeLions

Losing to the team on top and in form is no great shame but the way you do it by playing absolute dross is clearly on show this afternoon. Today has to be the turning point that the owners see it's not working and we need a change if we are to save the season.

Crowds are falling, the players look totally demotivated and drained of any spark they once held. I've given him a bit longer to sort it out after him sticking with us last season when we were on the brink of nonexistence but you can't run a football team off the past and the current and future holds more importance.

Thanks for everything Jim we appreciate it but it's just not working.

As much as I’d like to think this would be the case it is also part of the problem. Don’t forget the board member who is in charge of footballing decisions is the same guy that gave McNulty the job in the first place. He also has a proven awful track record of getting managerial appointments wrong because although he is making the footballing decisions he knows nothing about the game either. Until we are shot of both the club will simply not move forward.

Where has it been stated who the board member is in charge of footballing decisions?

The club recently announced its structure off the pitch:

We all know that Gauge is the director responsible for the footballing side and nothing in that article says it has changed. He is as much of a problem to the club as the manager currently is. The biggest issue when the Ogdens took over was Gauge being kept on to oversee the football side of things as the Ogdens had no experience or knowledge of the football side and thought it was better to leave him in charge of it. Unfortunately Gauge is no better qualified to do the job than the Ogdens.
Personally I have no faith in either Gauge or McNulty and won’t be back in the ground or spending another penny at the club until both have gone.

Poll: Would you take out of the cup & play offs if it meant McNulty being sacked?

No argument about the lack of footballing experience off the field. However, there is nothing to establish one person is in charge of footballing decisions. I’d be guessing like everyone else when saying it would be a collective decision making process. Especially now the club has restructured.

Yes, I'd like to think that all major footballing decisions will now be a collective one. It would reflect very badly on the Boardroom and the Ogden family if that wasnt the case. We've moved on now with the restructuring of the Boardroom and also staff recruitment in key positions. I would imagine that's something that Simon Gauge is very happy about.

from what i recall from the 'adoption' by the Ogden family (when do we build a statue to them for our eternal thanks?) SG is in sole control of footballing matters.

I wouldn't imagine that's the case anymore, different owners and directors. Why would the Ogdens leave Simon Gauge in sole control of footballing matters when they can see what's happened prior to them taking over the club? They would be daft to do that. He will be part of a think tank, they aren't just going to let him make decisions on his own and neither are the other Directors. I would imagine Simon has done some self analysis himself and wouldnt want that scenario anymore. If that is still the case then the Boardroom is a weak one and isn't fit for purpose. I've heard great things about Jamie Willoughby already, he's not going to put up with that situation surely? There's unrest in respect of McNulty, the Boardroom isn't going to be made up of nodding dogs who will just do as they're told by the person who appointed him. I think Cameron Ogden and his fellow Directors are a bit more savvy than that, well you would hope they are.

Darren Ferguson is in his fourth spell in charge of Peterborough having won four promotions over his three previous stints.

Ask their fans what they think of said fourth spell.

I’d imagine they’d be quite happy with a Wembley appearance and a trophy. That’s 2 trophies in 2 years for DF, not a bad return. League form has been inconsistent but it’s likely they will avoid relegation.

Poll: 24/25 season ticket, how many free games would you consider fair?
