Somins changed and that's O'Dea for me, Sheehan should have fought to keep Fotheringham unless he Fotheringham had higher ambitions of course, which seems likely. [Post edited 21 Nov 20:42]

That’s a reasonable enough statement when you’re challenging near the top. It’s a stupid thing to say when you’re part of a team that has won four games out of fifteen. Very similar to Duff saying he’d happily lose to Cardiff twice if we got promoted….when he had us in the relegation zone. Maybe I’ve taken it the wrong way, but to me that isn’t referencing how aesthetically we play, it’s referencing how we carry out his instructions.

Yes, to me it came across as someone who is desperate to win and is more about passion than creating a game plan to produce the performances, which will in turn produce the results. There is already a bit of a witch hunt against him and I’ve no idea how great or small an influence he actually had on Sheehans teams, but that part in isolation didn’t come across well.

No it wasn’t, it was the pre match interview (on Sky possibly) the day we played them away.

I stand corrected mayne its my aged memory playing tricks But O Dea is an inconseqence it appears Matos is signing and I suspecr O Dea will be gone. Personally I always was against Sheehan gatting the full time role umderstand whu he did but it seems it was the wrong decision

I kept stressing that we needed to appoint the best man for the job, rather than write everyone else off out of hand. As it happens we were looking at Hellberg then and Boro had a manager. I never once said Sheehan wasn’t the best option we had though, I just didn’t know and I certainly don’t blame the board for appointing him. Hindsight.
