I think he was highly regarded at Halifax, was his departure the final straw that saw the Manager walk out at the end of the season?

He was a decent player for us. And would have liked to see him stay, but of the 4 main players we lost at end of last season that went to the EFL he was probably the one fans were the least worried about losing. Primarily played left back for us. But actually probably played his best for us at back end of last season with our injury crisis as left sided centre back in a 3. Game changer probably not. But he is a good addition to the squad and will be comfortable playing your style of football.

Halifax Town have had a recent history of losing senior players after reaching the playoffs.
This time round it was the likes of Adam Senior and Jack Evans who left along with Ryan Galvin so it is perhaps an exaggeration to say that it was the latter’s departure which was the final straw for manager Chris Millington.
There were a lot of other issues involved.
