Stoke City v Swansea City : Match day thread on 08:59 - Dec 14 by herbie
Have to laugh at one person's continued criticism of Eom. he has been in the top 3 players in all the last 3 games and has been a threat on our left and linking well with Tymon.
That's what happens when someone really doesn't have a clue about football.

He just needs someone to hate to give his life meaning.
Every season it's the same. He'll pick a couple of players and slag them off endlessly. He's never even seen most of them in the flesh, and it rarely matters how they actually play. Once this season he even launched into a diatribe about Key not stopping a cross when it wasn't even his side of the pitch.
Just one strange dude.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Sometimes players do not play well and it is fair to criticise, although we do not always know the behind the scenes facts. There are players who I do not think are playing well and comment that perhaps they should be rested or not bought in the first case of some recent signings. But I am man enough to accept when they play better as is the case now with Vipotnik, first opinions are not always right. What I cannot accept is the hate and animosity show to our players just because they are not playing well, if they don't care or put in any effort fair enough, but clearly that is not the case.

I totally agree with your comment regarding 'behind the scenes facts' for why someone is not playing well or not putting in the required effort. I recall watching Ray kennedy playing for the Swans back in 1982 and being critical of his apparent lack of effort. Only to subsequently learn that he was in the early stages of Parkinson's Disease. Big lesson learnt there. I also don't understand the use of the word 'hate' in relation to a player or manager, particularly when someone is not known personally to the user. Those who plead for tolerance should themselves exercise tolerance.

Hate has a wide context It’s like someone saying , “ I ll kill you” ey You can certainly hate the way a player performs , the unrelenting sub standard performances that cost games “ “ I hate the way that ….” Fill in the gaps
Ray Kennedy played at a time when Parkinson’s was less evident to ordinary folks and his demise was cruel It is absolutely different with Key apart from The fact that as a footballer he was on a different planet
If he has “ issues” he shouldn’t play , ever as it’s not fair on him or the club He is now clearly not being defended but pitied with folk begging for any criticism to be shelved Sentiment plays no part in sport or shouldn’t do This is our bloody club and we’re on shite right now and need points desperately
I suggest that as a club , we are soft with too many sentimental We actually saw countless posts of how nice” Luke Williams ,Sheehan and even Martin were
Matos seems “ nice” but he seems to have something about him We hope he proves an inspired appointment
The years are flying by and we are born to die This could be our last We need to truly make the most of the time we have left We can’t make any more time

I think we caused Stoke plenty of problems yesterday , more than they were expecting us to The last 3 games have shown a clear change in play due to Vitor’s influence, hopefully this will get even better with his coaching staff coming in Eom has played well lately, one of our best performers,he’s not the only one who gets pushed off the ball and he’s made a couple of good tackles too We need to work on the physical side but it’s great to see us getting forward quicker and creating chances under Vitor after what we had before

True but don’t agree with eom who is super lightweight but yeah , he’s not alone This is a very physical league Stoke will not be promoted btw and both their goals were avoidable although the first could win any game
