Adam Worth continues his rise as Swansea City promote him to Recruitment Directo
at 20:07 27 Dec 2025

Take the individual out of the equation.

The summer window was heavily hyped and I bought into it. I really expected with 10? new signings we would be top 10 as a minimum. With three starters and most of the rest squad players personally I expected more. If you are happy with the return on the summer outlay plus the financial commitment for future years that's fine. But for me I'm not convinced either way. Climb to mid table and we are back where we started, push for promotion and the club has done well, remain in a relegation battle and there is only the club to blame.

For me the jury is out on the summer window currently there is no way it could be deemed as excellent. Galbraith is excellent, Stamenic is very good Burgess is hot and cold and has major flaws in his game. Others have serious potential but have to deliver on a regular basis, currently that is not the case, hopefully with more game time they will improve. But up until now the facts are Sheehan couldn't get a tune out of the majority of the new signings. Matos came in looked at the squad and said that we need to create a team, against Coventry only three of the new signings started [Galbraith, Stamenic and Burgess] plus we are in a relegation battle. Last season we finished top half so are the signings better than we had last season, Galbraith apart I'm not so sure. But as I say for me the jury is out and time will tell, I really hope Keith is right.

As you say its a matter of semantics. Personally I see avoiding paying the tax you owe as illegal. Legally limiting the amount of the tax you owe is both acceptable and sensible.

But are you a tax dodger in the true sense.

When you say tax dodgers are you talking about someone who fails to declare income and illegally fiddles the tax or someone who legally reduces their tax liability within the current tax rules. If its the second exactly where do you draw the line. Is someone who saves in an ISA instead of a tax paying savings account a tax dodger or does it only apply to those with more money than you causing you to be jealous.

If you take away ambition and hope from the younger generation there will be nobody to generate wealth in the future and without that there are no jobs or tax revenue.

It may be of interest to you that if you search Swansea fans forum or Swansea message board on Google this site does not come up, other sites do. Possibly this is the search people put in if they do not know the site.

I would be very, very surprised if Cullen goes anywhere before the summer, even then I think it would be very doubtful. He is not everyone's favourite but is very well thought of by the club and it seems every manager we have. Personally I can't see him agreeing to a loan as he is very settled on a personal side and has just bought/buying a new house. If the club say they no longer want the Welsh International and squad member then so be it and they could try and sell him but I don't think he will go, he has a contract until 2028 and is a one club player a rarity today.

England v India was a perfect contest, play on all 25 days proper test match cricket. The ashes have just been a farce, yes Australia deserved to win the series but it was still a lottery, including the reviews. Not Australia's best moment of cricketing history.

I'm going for a 2-0 win. A massive game for both teams and as Oxford are manager less it could go either way. But I think we are showing signs of improvement and Matos seems to be getting his methodology through to the players. This is where he gets the monkey off his back and he gets his first away win. Vipotnik and Wales to score.

Cracking game and a well deserved win. If there isn't another derby at least we went out with a win.

Was Vipotnik subbed to keep him for Oxford, in my mind a bigger game.

I felt we went down faking injury less today, hopefully this will continue. I personally think we will get less decisions when we have a reputation for "going down too easily".

The amount of wickets falling in a day by both sides is not good for the sport its making the game a lottery. Obviously Australia are handling it better but cricket should never see both sides bowled out in one day and the third innings starting.
