Or is Nardi on the way out. Was expecting Nardi to start v Wednesday as thought he did ok in the last appearance..view/intel?
| Nardi Hamer what’s that all about? on 17:39 - Jan 5 with 2091 views | bosh67 | I believe, from what I heard, that Nardi came in for the Norwich game because Hamer had a bit of an issue with his face. I do feel a bit for Nardi. He was really good last season for us but it appears the not coming for crosses thing has been a problem for the powers that be. An amazing shot stopper. | |

So why hasn't he been coached on an obvious deficit in his game? Why does it have to be a 'problem for the powers that be'?

| Nardi Hamer what’s that all about? on 19:22 - Jan 5 with 1646 views | Harbour | I guess the manager wants to keep his options open. Nardi definitely has an issue with crosses but as you say bosh he is a good shot stopper but the crosses issue is a problem. Hamer you would imagine is short term solution if he is the preferred short term option.. It would suggest we will either get another loan or perm in. Can’t be good in the meantime the switching of the 2 and given how we have conceded a lot it’s an issue needs resolving. | | | |

The club don’t reveal the length of contracts so we don’t know which month Hamer’s deal will end.

Good healthy competition gone awry sadly, that nice Kevin Betsy may have to step in.

Theres a good chance neither will be with us by the end lf the transfer window either. Gk is our weakest area IMO, but all those injuries yesterday may change the priorities a bit maybe?

| Nardi Hamer what’s that all about? on 20:57 - Jan 5 with 1303 views | cpgerber | It looks to me that Nardi is coming off his line more often this season, with various degree of success. But I do get the idea he/they are making an effort to address that particular issue. | | | |

Hamer has an issue with Nardi's face? What does he feel is wrong with it?

| Nardi Hamer what’s that all about? on 08:59 - Jan 6 with 885 views | StevenageRanger | I got the sense that after great season at Stevenage in 24/25 and then a further loan to Barnsley that Murphy Cooper may be the future number 1. I haven't heard much about him this season though , last season (due to where he was) I was told most weeks how great he is. | | | |

A lot of talk on their forums about him being one of their players of the season and keeping them in games. One comment seemed ominous though: "another side scores from one of the 8 or so corners they put into our box yesterday. Not one of them from memory was dealt with by our keeper, despite most being in and around the 6 yard box. Cooper is another in a long line of keepers we've had who are good shot stoppers and not much else." Sounds familiar...

becuase he arrived with the same lack of ability for coming for crosses and at his age isnt going to change his game now and suddenly want to batter anything in front of him. so a typical european keeper

"At his age"😂 Another brilliant example of some of the absolute shite that professional footballers get away with, compared to the rest of us mere mortals.. I'd love to have had Paul Nardi here in our office yesterday to watch my new 67 year old colleague trying to come to terms for the first time with how Bluetooth headphones work (an essential piece of our everyday kit for a number of reasons). Poor Chris was very well aware that he was making an absolute tit of himself, as he continually asked why the headphones kept falling off (basically because he kept trying to hook them underneath his ears rather than on top). This and other related IT issues made him have the look of someone who's just been woken up from a deep cryogenically induced sleep for 30 years with absolutely no idea how the world's evolved in the meantime. Despite this and the inevitable stream of friendly p*ss-taking that kept coming his way, he persevered and managed to look pretty professional on his first Microsoft Teams call this morning. Given he hadn't even heard of Teams until yesterday, that's not a bad bit of progress - and yet a 31 year old professional goalkeeper can't be coached into assertively coming for crosses in a sport he's probably been playing ever since he can walk...?!

Yeah, I imagine Nardi wouldn't be adverse to being able to deal with crosses, but for whatever reason, he can't. A keeper who can't deal with crosses is a shit signing dor a championship side, imo.
