One of my mates, who is originally from Mumbles was Director Fire & Resilience for the Home Office and he talked about many of the difficulties the Fire Service had in recruiting and maintaining female staff because of the above. He is now Chief Finance Officer and Director of Delivery, College of Policing so lovely new challenges

As men we would never get involved in women's gossip chit chat and being women.

In a very high pressure environment where men's lives are on the line being physically strong is very important.
I do get that there are some super human women out there but that is not the norm.
Also to all the brave fire women who get the banter and kick arse this isn't pointed at you.
But god alive a strong woman would keep the lads in check.
We live in a terrible time where compensation lawyers must love this day and age.
