Credit to Tonda again. He manages the squad through the season brilliantly. He calculates what is required to win a game and still be ready to win the next one. He rests key players when he can. With a less astute manager, we might thrash a few of the weaker teams, then have injuries to our best players and run out of steam before the end of the season. Leo Scienza really needs breaks to recover from all the kicking he takes. Like most of you, I was sceptical about Edozie's selection, but he created our only goal with a brilliant run. One thing I've learned about Tonda's team selection, is that he has a long-term plan for the whole season, and he knows a lot better than we do how to win as many games as possible. It means that sometimes our less able players get selected for games that we win by a narrower margin than we might otherwise have done. No Saints manager has a better win record than he does after so many games. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ [Post edited 15 Oct 12:32]
