We have 13 players currently on the sidelines. To his credit Ian Watson has not continually bemoaned his luck with injuries but got on with the job of trying to put out a winning team. That is in stark contrast to several managers in this league who have whinged on about the challenges they have faced with similar and to some extent lesser problems. Holloway (Swindon) and Artell (Grimsby) to name just two. Every team has its difficulties from time to time but it seems to me that its only the so called experienced managers who 'have never known anything like it' and continually moan to the media and anyone else who will listen about how unfortunate they have been.
In the extended highlights, the neutral commentator commented on Grimsby's 'character' in pushing on despite their injury woes. I haven't looked at their treatment list but I can't imagine it's worse than ours. We continue to go under the radar and hopefully we can continue to grind out results. Imagine how good we'll be when (if) our luck ever changes?
