I re-newed this morning in the lower loft same seat, I just rang up and done It and It was actually £20.00 cheaper than last Year.
When I questioned the bloke on the phone about the family shit he said no problem mate It's all gone through.
Got my e-mail confirmation from the club too.
I got a PM last night from a good fan who I sit next to who said he would help out with the 'Family thing' as he takes his kid along thanfully I didn't need It.

As ever on such occasions, there's a degree of "I'm alright Jack" about some of the replies here. If it doesn't affect you then great, but I don't see why you'd come on here digging out people it does. If they kicked me out of my seat I'd be mortified - the LFW lot I sit with at away games all sit together in Ellerslie Road but I won't move because I sat in my seat with Stuart for years and it means something to still sit there. There will be loads of stories like that.
On the practical side of it I don't see how we can afford to make such a big section of the ground available only to those with under 8s - not just kids, under 8s. It's going to result in lots of people getting season tickets for kids with no intention of them ever turning up. It's also going to result in many empty seats behind the goal for games that are apparently sold out. And what about midweek games that finish at 10pm?
It's a worthy idea but they've gone overboard. It should be under 16s and it should only be half the tier IMO. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Genuine question here.
Where is it stated that the Family Stand is only for Children under 8 years old? I've just had a look at the season tickets prices for the Family Stand and there's a whole range of prices for adults with "children" up to the age of 21.
Unless I'm reading it wrong or missing something?

Out of interest, does anyone know what percentage roughly of the silver areas are season tickets? I've not been based in the south for a while but will be this season so would like to get one, probably somewhere that I can stand and make a bit of noise without being gawked at for cheering the team or letting out the occasional expletive. R block would be logical but I fear the few seats there not obscured by that pillar will be diehards who renew. | | | |

Probably the same reason they sell tickets for however many years to adults without accompanying juniors since the stand was first made a Family Stand - depends who you get on the phone I suppose!

It has been brought to my attention that a number of people have renewed
today with no problem, in their original seats, no under 8's, and qpr
comfirmation emails recieved. WHAT IS GOING ON ?
I will be coming to the box office very soon to discuss matters face to
face, in the meantime please start thinking about where you are going to
move my group of 10 people, because we have no intention of being
seperated ! What an utter mess all this is, disgracful !

Well of the group I go to games with my Dad and three mates have all been told to move so I'm left with just me and my ticket for my son who is 3 and only goes once or twice a season. I now have to either sit on my own next season or pay gold prices to move as I won't get the free upgrade due to having a kid. If I move I'll get rid of the kids ticket as you can't get them in gold.

not really a thankless task, they get plenty of praise but it seems a bit stupid to stand and applaud everything they do. IMO they've made a mistake over this family stand, rather than being together as a family this new scheme has split mine up and probably means I'll have to lose the kids ticket which surely defeats the object.
i'm all for having a family stand and can see what they are trying to do but it's a bit of a kick in the balls to have Fernandes saying one minute how important the fans are and that prices are frozen and the next be told we have to move to a more expensive area of the stadium or don't come.
i know it's not am issue for many on here but this is the second time this has happened at QPR now with fans being moved and it's not right

It has been said so many times how the atmosphere in the last five games at 'Fortress loftus rd' helped keep us up. Then they go and turn the home end into a nursery, bloody ridiculous, bet halfway through the season they will ask for the same atmosphere as last season. It cant happen as they replaced the singers in the home end with five year olds. |  |
