Anyone who doubts just how fanatical Asian supporters are should take a trip to see Queens Park Rangers play. The arrival of Park Ji-sung to the west London club means each home game will be littered with shrieking South Koreans in the stands, one of whom was sitting a row below the press box during QPR's 5-0 defeat to Swansea on Saturday and screamed with excitement every time the midfielder touched the ball. I love The Who, so I'm in denial about PT. It was all an accident/research/he clicked on a link to what he thought was a childrens wear catalogue etc.
The Japanese tourists thing was a bit weird with Inamoto, but they were pretty quiet other than clapping enthusiastically; I don't remember much screaming. I'd imagine that sales of half/half scarves will go through the roof with Park at QPR. | |
