Same linesman from the Ashley Young incident at Old Trafford last year.
No doubt back in the Premiership next week.

It wasn't as clear cut as Clint's but it was over. Enthralling end to the game.

Quite clearly onside.

What everyone fails to notice is there are only 9 QPR players visible in this shot, the 10th outfield player is having a chat with the keeper and is oblivious to the danger Young is putting us under.

100% not offside and apologies to the officials for thinking young was.

Not forgetting its the same bloke that gave Man City a corner the other week when it was clearly our goal kick & what do you know, City scored from that passage of play

Looking at the decision I believe the lino could actually have a case to say that the WHOLE of the ball didn't cross the line, albeit by a few mm.

You are right. As a guest of NUFC at Everton we were as one in thinking we had stolen a point.

Fact is until they allow the technology to decide (for good or bad and it is not 100% perfect) peeps are not going to be satisfied. And I suppose that when it does come in the peeps will harp back to the old days when it would/would not have been allowed. Never satisfied.

Persoanlly I dont believe Pardew should get the plaudits for clever management but should be pilloried for not starting with Ba which may have won them the game.

I thought the same. Given the speed of the incident I'd say that it is impossible for the linesman to be 100% sure. From memory the goal should only be given if the officials are 100% sure? I can't really blame the officials in this case!

Give over, it's a goal, simple as.

I've looked at the shape of the ball in the picture and it's still a goal.

It doesn't in my opinion, but it's pointless continuing with this.

I said it was a goal straight away at normal speed, said it was a goal on the first replay, saw it was a goal on the freeze frame and it's a goal in that picture as well IMO.

I think the conclusion is that even with replays from multiple angles, freezeframes etc, people are still disagreeing. Until we give officials tv replays, goal line technology etc. we are always going to get wrong / dubious decisions. Sure they make some really blatent mistakes, but sometimes they have an impossible job.

Thats brilliant Clive_Anderson, you have drawn a bigger ball to prove a nonsense theory. The rule is simple. If the real ball (not a red circle) is over the line which it clearly is - it is a goal

Next you will be arguing the clint hill one..

Refs do get too much stick - agreed, but sometimes they bring it on themselves i.e. The man Utd penalty vs Wigan on the weekend.

The ref simply wanted to give them a penalty so he did!

Here, I can see just about why the lino missed it but its still a poor decision.

just to be certain - are you saying it was a goal - dont want there to be any doubt.
