Anyone remember them?

My first delve into the rave/techno scene.

That White Room album was never off my cassette player.

Even old Glenn Hughes sang on one of their tracks how cool?

Great band didn't they do a publicity stunt of supposedly burning a million quid ?

They came in at approx #8 in some Top40 countdown of 90's tunes I stumbled across over weekend...definitely takes me back to living over there mid-90's...they also did that Tardis song few years earlier if memory serves?

Brilliant band, White Room and Chill Out are still class now. 3am Eternal takes me right back to that era, great time in music.

Bill Drummond's books '45' and 'Bad WIsdom' are both well worth a read as well, he's a smart bloke.

Watching this year's f--king appalling Brit Awards with that tw-t James Corden kissing everyone's arse I was desperate for the KLF to come back and chuck a dead sheep at him

I had it on tape as well. Now you've reminded me of all those songs I'll have to get it again. 3am eternal brings back memories of the student night at the palais about '91. Their only nod to decent music was a medley with that and fools gold in it. I once asked them to play the smiths on a friday night when they were still doing slow songs at the end. They said no. Happy days

That was a very fine summer. I'll say no more. Jimmy Cauty continues to produce excellent art all these years on.

I remember Mu mu and a quite quick catchy one that I think, was their first big hit.
(I have no idea which one it was)

For some reason I always think they did "Unbelivable" too

Bill Drummond eventually went on record and admitted it thus. He started Zoo Records which Echo & The Bunnymen & Teardrop Explodes were on, I believe he produced their early stuff as well.

Jimmy Cauty was in a very early version of the Orb and I remember seeing one of their first gigs at the 'Land of Oz' clubnights at Heaven.Hes an accomplished artist/painter.

I don't think they'd thank you for confusing them with EMF (unless you're dyslexic in which case you'd probably get away with it)

It's poignant reminiscing about KLF as the
guy that rapped on 3am eternal died last week ( Ricardo Da Force)

I know, ridiculous as both are so different. It is the 3 letters though I think.

I always think the Happy Mondays did Saturn V too. (one of the best indie tracks ever)

That Chill out album was miles ahead of its time. I still have it (but on cassette only) and still occasionally play it. Fancy burning a million quid. That was mad.

still absolutely Fecking love the KLF.

the whole Tammy Wynette sessions for Justified and Ancient / Stand by the Jams are quite heart wrenching, as she was essentially washed up and unable to sing, and they had to massively redub her vocals.

the burning a million quid thing, Drummond massively regrets it with hind site, but reckons that they made enough money from the publicity around it to cover it.

they actually wiped their entire back catalogue, THAT's what cost them the money...

Can we not knock it?
