I agree that we were stupid to offer him the deal he's on. But, if he was that keen to move, his agent would have put stories about on the sort of wage he would accept. I don't believe nobody was interested in the Summer but any club with any sense wouldn't have matched QPR's wage. Hence, no formal bid. |  |

Your logic is spot on Dave.
Unfortunately, for all of us who pay to watch football and would give a kidney to play professionally, the thought of someone kicking about in Harlington rather than be prepared to drop their wage scale and, hence, attract a much wider group of potential buyers, is absolutely incomprehensible.
I know it's his job and I know that no one has made a firm bid. But, come on.

Thing is, despite publicly saying that Julio Cesar is a guaranteed starter for the World Cup, Luiz Felipe Scolari wants Julio Cesar to play. And what I'm hearing is that he told him he must do so. So potentially, the keeper will lower his demands to find a place to play ahead of the World Cup.

they didn't go through as neither club were interested. Wages obviously come into it but very few clubs want him, thats why he ended up here in the first place. I doubt he wants to be training and not playing, he's another similar to Joey Barton really, if Joey hadn't been picked by Redknapp early on then he'd be sat on his arse at Harlington still as well getting stick from us. | | | |

On Julio: for the most part he was a good keeper for us last year. I think his wages turned Harry off, possibly training? But Harry said great things about him training hard in the last summer. But now with half season down, and green injured ? , why not parade your world class goalie that you are paying for? Heck, by my eyes, I think Greeno needs some rest, and a few goals too many have rolled under and to the right of him lately. ...did Harry notice?...and the ' injury' is more of a convenience?
Ala Joey b., I can see Julio getting a lifeline and picking up where Green left off (earlier).

Keeping to the point, I see max ehmer was extended so that takes away a RB option so Henry might slot into the team there. I am curious about Hitch too. He scored 3 in 6 games, plus added several assists including a 'sublime' pass to set up a winner for Crewe last week. HR endorsed Tim Sherwood, based on his work with youngsters, many of whom Harry has tried to go after. ...Harry needs to vet some of his own, and hitch can be a game changer at least as a 15 -20 minute a game sub. |  | | |

Oddly he conceded 4 goals yesterday and could have been more if Jelly Legs didn't get over cocky with his pen and the heroics of super Clint Hill, but I think he done okay and not at fault for any of the goals. A few shots on target he held first time quite comfortably one or two of those I'd imagine Green could have struggled with.
He looks confident and applied as you'd expect from a seasoned professional, a better keeper for the World Cup Brazil will struggle to find.
If for whatever reason QPR don't manage to move him on, we'd be silly not to play him I reckon.
He did also seem to be the only QPR player willing to sign an autograph when boarding our train at Lime Street. His hair is still perfect. |  | | |

I know someone who spoke to Cesar at the Confederations Cup last summer. He said Cesar had been told that a move to Arsenal would happen, which suited him for family reasons. I don't know if this was his agent playing games, but I believe the Napoli thing was only a loan deal, which QPR weren't interested in. Then, obviously, Liverpool agreed a loan deal for Reina, the season started and no offers came in. Don't see how that makes him greedy.
I think he's a much better keeper than Green, so I'd play him while he is here. |  | | |

we have a choice keep him and play/pay him £60,000 plus till the summer of 2016
or try to force him out by starving him of ANY match time in he hope he needs football to keep his place in national team
i like the guy and blame hughes and tony for all of this who can you sign an england internation keeper on big bucks then dropped him after 1/2 a dozen games and sign brazils no 1 keeper on a four season deal on crazy money

We've got one of the best defences in the league,with how many clean sheets? I think Rednapp got it right picking Green ahead of him.
I still can't get my head round him still being here,or that if he's good enough to be Brazils' number one why he couldn't get a club in the summer
