England need a cracking 3rd day or things could get very tricky indeed days 4 and 5.
Set up nicely, very finely balanced India must be slight favourites despite 400 on the board for England.
Would like them to be more aggressive before lunch tomorrow early wickets could turn this test back in our favour. | | | |

Aye, first couple of sessions will be pivotal
If we can get Kohli in & out early doors, we'll have a chance. If he's still batting after tea they'll be achieving parity and it'd be difficult to force a positive result after that
Given that we need to win, it'll be interesting to see whether Cook can (given the chance) make a more positive declaration | |

Kohl is a pleasure to watch at the moment. They have better spinners than us, we are edging the pace bowling, and other than Kohli the runs are spread fairly evenly between the batsmen on both sides. However he is taking the series away from us and is really in a purple patch - possibly the best in the world at the moment. It says something when Joe Root is our top run scorer also coming in at number 4, and Kohli is about250 runs ahead of him in just 3 1/2 matches - Superb | | | |

Agreed
Any fan of test cricket would bow to the class of probably the no.1 test batsman playing for the side currently at the top of the rankings. Having said that, we're at no.2 but will slip down the list if we don't achieve some kind of result from the remaining tests
It still rankles with me that Cook didn't declare earlier in the first test instead of taking a ridiculously long lead which the Indians batted out nearly 200 runs short of. Plus, the schedule of 2 + 5 tests in the subcontinent with no acclimatisation games is untenable and should never happen again
