A huge thank you! 20:17 - Apr 7 with 3175 viewssuffolkdale

From the Exiles to the Supprters Trust and the Club - in particular Frances Fielding, David Bottomley, Russ Green and Keith Hill. Meeting up with old friends ( with a similar interest!), keeping in touch with the club we all care deeply about and feeling part of it all. Superb work from Scott, Murray, Dave ( outgoing) and Ian (incoming), great refreshments, raffle, quiz and general camaraderie in our box. If you are thinking of becoming an Exile - join- and if you have never been to an Exiles event - join us!
As to the game some of the best attacking and midfield play we have seen from a Rochdale team for many a day, the defending surprisingly naive at times - but hey we didn't lose - when the Exiles sponsor a game, Rochdale have never lost - ever!
On to Wigan, and for us Peterborough and Oxford away. Hope springs eternal and who knows today's point may make all the difference!

Great day out again and such a shame about the last minute equaliser, but Dale fought every step of the way and more than matched Pompey. I'll be the main man for the Exiles game next year - you have to do something in retirement - so I'd echo Suffolkdale's exhortations. Come and join us!

Always a great day for those in attendance, but what is it about people having to stand on a chair to make speeches?

You can sod the chair if that’s your thing.

The buffet is provided by the club, paid for by the Trust via the fee for the day.

When you consider you get to see the match from a box, meet the players and manager, it’s tremendous value.

There used to be stadium tour, too, but it was alleged that someone vandalised Hill’s tactics board, so that put paid to that - and led to a speech. Delivered from on top of a chair.

At bury, it would have been a chur.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

I imagine there would be a queue of people willing to stand on top of him.

He would make an excellent bouncy castle for children, or big kids. 😀

Well done to all who participated and to the trust for arranging with the club. Haven't been for a few years but really enjoyed it. Need 46 exiles game next year if we never lose although we might end up with 46 points !!

3-3 for the last 2 years ( sheff U last year) so also seem to pick the exiting ones too

well done again to everyone involved
