To round off a pretty crap night I’ve just heard of the death of Mary Wilson, founder member of The Supremes.
Diana Ross might have been the most famous Supreme but Mary was a constant in the group for over sixty years.

Yes very sad,just she`d about been with Motown since its inception. Her and Florence Ballard never really got the plaudits Diana Ross got,poor Florence especially who was basically pushed out by Berry Gordy. Never forgot that 25 years of Motown Special when Diana jealously pushed Mary away from the centre of the stage at the finale. Mary didn`t care,she knew what she`d given Motown and it was plenty. | | | |
