On a serious note, was in Fairfield A&E a few years ago with my boy for one of the many times he fractured something football or boxing related, can’t remember why. He was with an older Gent & my boy & I had Dale tops on & my boy gave him some grief banter wise as he was the Buckets Manager at the time.... can’t knock him personally, but he was a star and take my hat off to him, passed the time and was really friendly with him....

I agree with that. I wish Flicker well. After peaking at Barnsley with the caretaker role, it's been downhill from there, but the guy is obviously quite highly thought of within the game to keep getting the jobs he does.
For all the cringey soundbites, the job he did as Hilly's assistant in the first spell was superb. He has my respect for that. |  | | |
