Later: It was Orient vs Dale on 23 August 1997. Hill was sent off in the first minute for handball, and Orient awarded a penalty. In the last few minutes, Orient scored from a second penalty and a second Dale player, Mark Leonard, was dismissed.

Oh, dear. Ever since Keith Hill was sent off after about 5 minutes many years ago I associate Orient vs Dale with over-zealous refs.
Mr Rock sent off M. J. Williams at Gillingham on 29 December 2019 (Can't remember the details but Dale lost 1-0).
He made a splash in both of his two last games, sending off an Oldham player in the 90th minute on 12 March when Swindon scored an extra-time winner.
On 1 March he red-carded Niall Canavan in a match that ended Bristol Rovers 1 Barrow 0 - on appeal, that card was rescinded. | | | |
