The FCUM announcements make interesting reading. They have recruited a Commercial Manager and an Events manager. They have also appointed somebody part time to manage match day activities. For a non league club they are staffed as well as we are in these roles. Shows some ambition (assuming they grow the revenue). And their average gate is 1770 - way above most in that league. | | | |

I wouldn't suggest hundreds of thousands of pounds (potentially as little as £200K) is a particularly impressive number for a club of Blackburn's size.. especially with the brilliant work they were already doing in the community and their expansion of demographics on matchdays. Its also alleged that she proactively contacted sponsors and partners of RAFC, and tried to get them to follow her to Blackburn instead of staying with Dale. I've heard of at least three companies she approached, all from different sources, so I'm inclined to believe that is accurate.
FC’s Chief Executive Officer Natalie Atkinson said: “I’ve known Frances for some time and her experience and capability is just what we need.
“Frances has been following FC’s fortunes for some time and when the role came up with us, she felt it was the right move at the right time for her.
“She transformed the commercial approach at Rochdale and made a big success of the role. So of course we are looking forward to her doing the same here, and bringing in additional income to help us fund our promotion push over the next two to three years.”
Define big success. Pitiful performance of the venues and spaces we have available, huge losses in the Covid year, borderline abusive exchanges with customers on social media, incorrect names / spelling / details on sponsorship letters, as well as much rumoured concerns about professional behaviour whilst in post.
Frances is one of a number of new appointments made as part of the club’s new staffing structure. The recruitment of new people is aimed at driving delivery of the targets in our business plan and ultimately achieving promotion to the National League North, to meet the aspirations of co-owners as set out in FC United’s Vision."

I am very distant from the noise and shenanigans that surrounded the previous board, but I have to say at the few online events she appeared at I didn’t think she was at all slick. It should be what you known rather than how you put it across that counts, but honestly I thought she had a low ceiling.

At the last forum before her departure she looked absolutely disgusted that someone dared question her about goldbond when she picked up the microphone (in my opinion  ). She talked to supporters like they were an inconvenience and we are so lucky to be rid of her and her odious brother. | |
